Couples Fellowship

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

We thank God almighty for giving us one more year.

Over the years since its inception, we, the Couples fellowship family of our church, used to come together every second Saturday evenings in our church for our monthly meetings.

This year due to the covid pandemic lockdown we could not meet in the church physically. However we continued to meet each other and maintain our fellowship, virtually on every second Saturday through the zoom platform.

During the first lockdown period from April 2020 till our Church started holding divine services in November 2020, Couples Fellowship had regular divine services, Virtually, on every Sundays. We thank Rev. Dr. Joe Joseph Kuruvilla Achen for helping us to conduct them in a very systematic and organized manner, making sure of everyone’s participation.

During the regular monthly fellowship meetings, various programs were conducted online like singing sessions, Bible studies and quizzes, family enrichment sessions, intercessory prayers, discussions on nurturing children and parenting, fitness and health-related talks, activities and games etc. Many of our members took the responsibility of sharing the word of God during these sessions.

With the wholehearted support of all the members a sum of Rs 364000/- was collected for our St. Thomas school, Kurar. We were able to sponsor 28 school children for their studies last year.

We have regular prayer sessions on Fridays at 10 pm through WhatsApp medium to pray together on specific topics and also for special prayer requests.

On behalf of all the couples fellowship family members, we take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to our Vicar
Rev.Thomas K.Jacob Achen, Our assistant vicar
Rev.Nitin Chacko Achen and also our fellow parishioner
Rev.Dr.Joe Joseph Kuruvila Achen and guest speakers
Rev.Jolly Thomas Achen, Rev.Raju Philip Achen and the great motivating speaker, the differently-abled Miss. Jilumole Marriot Thomas for leading and guiding us during some of the sessions last year.

We also wish to express our heartfelt condolences to all the families who lost their near and dear ones to the dreaded pandemic last year and specially to the family of our departed dear friend Late Mr. Jose Abraham.

We thank God for holding us together through these challenging times one more year.

For and on behalf of Couples Fellowship families,

Convenors,
Mathew Simon, Rachel Simon,
